Is Rey Spanish For King?
It’s spelled Rey, like king in Spanish. Not Ray, like a ray of light, or Raay or Rayy or Reeyy, or any other alternative spelling that would make this more ambiguous. The filmmakers chose the name King. Not queen, not god/dess, monarch, etc, but King.
