What Does Akamaru Mean In Japanese?
Akamaru(赤マル) means red perfection is opposite to the dog’s color, white. This is because his fur will become red when eating a Military Rations Pill. The ‘Aka’ means the color ‘red’, and ‘maru’ meaning ‘perfection’、’ full circle’ which is a suffix commonly used for Japanese male names.
